Someday would be the final day that anyone would die
Someday will be the final day that you would ever cry
For Christ Himself would wipe away the last tear from our eyes
What waits ahead for us surpasses all that lies behind
The greatest of our trials here is but for a moment
Compared to the Infinity of Eternity’s extent
The greatest of applauds we get now, will all fade into the Past
But only what is lived for Christ, that’s what will truly last
My goal is so you’ll always keep Eternity in view
Prioritizing what truly counts, in all you think and say and do
See, what if what appeals today is not what truly satisfies?
You were made for Living Water; the Spring that never dies
There is a final date
This world would meet its fate.
An End is drawing nigh
For all, for you and I.
And while I love to make you laugh
My greatest gift for thee*
Is to remind you that your story’s beyond what we can see
(*pardon my use of language more akin to KJV)
Remember your Creator now.
He still remembers you.
He knows your best
He knows your worst
He knows all that you’re going through.
His Precious Gift of Life Eternal’s still alive and well
A life sustained by Grace supernal, free from Sin and Hell
So come to God through Jesus Christ
While Time as yet remains.
Come drink the Living Water
He’ll wash away your stains.
He’ll make you new,
He’ll help you grow,
He’ll cleanse you, make you white as snow
Come in! Come in
The Door’s open wide.
He calls you, “Come inside.”
And as we stand before Him, the Day this life is done
One life may then be over, but our True Best Life has barely begun.
The grief of loss for loved ones gone
The questions asked to answers none
The worries that we’ve erstwhile borne
The pains they laid, will now be shorn
Our fears, all our infirmities, have faded at His Throne.
For now, for the very first time, we know as we are known.
And as the memory of the trials we have faced below cause a sparkle in our eyes
King Jesus Christ will wipe away the last tear from our eyes.
